How to Calculate Your Dose
GHK-Cu doesn't follow strict weight-based dosing the way some peptides do. The 1–2mg/day range applies broadly across most body weights. That said, if you're on the lighter end (under 60kg), starting at 0.5–1mg makes sense; heavier individuals (over 100kg) sometimes run 2mg without issues. There's no established mg/kg formula — it's more about response than weight.
For topical: if you reconstitute a 100mg vial in 10mL of sterile water, you get a 1% solution. Dilute to 0.1–0.5% for facial application by mixing with a carrier (distilled water, niacinamide serum, etc.).
Reconstitution for Dosing
Standard injectable reconstitution:
- 100mg vial + 10mL bacteriostatic water = 10mg/mL (10,000 mcg/mL)
- For 1mg dose: draw 0.1mL (10 units on insulin syringe)
- For 2mg dose: draw 0.2mL (20 units)
Refrigerate after reconstituting. Use within 4 weeks.
Dosing Protocol — 8-Week Example
- Week 1: 0.5mg/day — assess tolerance, watch for injection site reaction or skin darkening
- Weeks 2–8: 1–2mg/day at your comfortable dose
- After cycle: 4-week break before starting again
Some people run GHK-Cu continuously for skin applications at the lower end — there's no strong evidence of harm with ongoing topical use, though most injectable protocols cycle.
Timing
GHK-Cu doesn't have a critical timing window the way some peptides do. Morning injection is fine. Evening is fine. The one consideration: if you're using it for sleep and recovery purposes (wound healing, tissue repair), evening dosing aligns with the body's natural overnight repair cycle. Honestly though — the timing matters much less here than with GH peptides.
Is GHK-Cu Safe at These Doses?
At 1–2mg/day, yes. The copper load delivered at these doses is well within safe ranges for healthy adults. The exception is Wilson's disease or other copper metabolism disorders — if that applies to you, GHK-Cu is contraindicated. For everyone else, the safety profile at standard doses is clean.
